What is VETASSESS?

VETASSESS assesses people applying to migrate to Australia under the Commonwealth Government’s General Skilled Migration Program and Employer Nomination Scheme. They have quite a few other services, too, but that’s the important one for the moment.

The best place to start is the migrate to Australia page on the website. There you’ll find some clear questions that will help guide you through the process.

You’ll also find handy links to the list of nominated countries and occupations VETASSESS can assess, depending on the kind of visa you want to apply for.
The website also has points advice for trade occupations, including a flow chart explaining the process you’ll go through.

Apply online

You can apply online for a skills assessment, through the VETASSESS website. It’s a great resource. It’s cheaper to apply online, you can track and view the progress of your application, stop an application and come back to it, and the service offered is quicker than the traditional method as the application is processed as soon as the documents are received.

Another benefit is that you can book and pay for a technical interview and an in-country assessment, if you require one.
