Have you heard about the Women in Resources Awards? The Chamber of Mines and Energy of Western Australia (CME) are pleased to announce the finalists for the
2012 Women in Resources Awards. Part of the Australian Women in Resources Alliance (AWRA), this fantastic CME initiative is designed to acknowledge both individuals and organisations making our industry the best in the world and providing attractive career opportunities. Importantly, the goal of the Women in Resources Awards is to recognise women working in our sector and increase female participation.
People’s Choice Awards
As in year’s past, the finalists all have amazing stories. To alleviate some of the pressure of having to pick ‘just one’, one additional category has been named - People’s Choice Award. Every finalist, with the exception of the Outstanding Company Initiative finalists, is eligible for the People’s Choice Award. Read the story of each finalist then vote for the person you think most worthy.
Let us warn you, it’s a tough field and you can only vote once. Voting closes at 5pm on Monday, 5 March 2012. We guarantee you’ll be inspired.
Award Categories
- Outstanding Technician/Operator/Trade Woman
- Outstanding Young Professional Woman
- Outstanding Professional Woman
- Women in Resources Champion
- Outstanding Company Initiative
