We’ve written about the Australian Women in Resources Alliance (AWRA) several times over the past few months, starting with the launch in Perth on 9 November. Today we’re pleased to announce AWRA has a web presence on the new AMMA website. It’s loaded with information for anyone interested in an increased participation of women in the Australian resource industry workforce.

Information available about AWRA

Along with a landing page containing general information and background on AWRA, the AMMA website offers comprehensive detail on a several different categories of information including:
  • Case Studies
  • Guides & Toolkits
  • Media
  • Research
  • Useful Links

You can also subscribe to AWRA updates so you can stay informed of project progress, events, news releases and more.

Women working in the resource industry

If you’re a woman in mining - whether you’re an engineer, geologist, metallurgist or working in hospitality – AWRA is here to support you. Likewise, women in oil and gas or women in energy are equally represented by AWRA.

For employers in the resource industry

AWRA accredited organisations are eligible to display the AWRA stamp and proudly promote industry ‘best practice’ and workforce diversity. To find out more about how to become accredited, visit the Become an AWRA Employer page.

Friendly reminder

Don’t forget, International Women’s Day is on Thursday, 8 March.

Have you signed up to receive the AWRA updates?

Don’t forget to subscribe to our blog posts and keep up-to-date on everything happening around mining jobs, oil and gas jobs, and energy jobs in Australia and around the world.
